Brewfest is set for the return to Utica Zoo

UTICA — The annual Utica Zoo Brewfest returns for another day of food, drink and live entertainment.

This year, Brewfest will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, August 6 at the Utica Zoo, 1 Utica Zoo Way. This event is restricted to ages 21 and older, including designated drivers. Tickets, along with photo ID, will be required for entry.

Brewfest will feature over 120 samples of craft beers, ciders, seltzers and wines, as well as food samples from participating vendors, a silent auction to bid on various prizes, and live music from local bands Soup Bone Charley and Vinyl Logic, while allowing people access to the zoo.

The first 3,000 participants will also receive a commemorative pint.

The event is the largest annual fundraiser for the Utica Zoo, where all proceeds go directly to caring for the animals at the zoo.

“The budget to care for the animals is significant and running Brewfest is one of the ways we meet those needs,” said Andria Heath, executive director of the Utica Zoo.

“It’s a great way to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Utica Zoo in a grown-up atmosphere,” she added.
