Men from Essex banned from entering Bedfordshire after Arriva buses ‘pulled over’
Two men from Essex have been banned from setting foot across an entire county after several Arriva buses were reportedly shot down.
The couple, both in their 20s from Essex, have reportedly targeted Arriva buses in Luton, Bedfordshire, on four occasions in a three-month period between March and May this year.
They were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon as a result of the damage.
The arrests came after buses in Arriva were hit by what was reportedly a pellet gun. Each time, damage was done to the window of the bus.
They were then released on bail on condition that they would not enter Bedfordshire unless a pre-arranged appointment was made.
A Bedfordshire Police spokesperson said: ‘Two men have been arrested in connection with a number of incidents in Luton in which Arriva buses were damaged.

“The buses were hit with what are believed to be metal bearings four times over a three-month period between March and May of this year.
“The two Essex men, both in their twenties, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
“They were then released on bail with a condition not to enter the county except by pre-arranged appointment.”
