Rapid KL offers My50 2 for 1 passes for new users

Rapid KL has announced a new offer which appears to be a new effort to entice people in the Klang Valley to ditch their cars for public transport. For a very limited time this month, the utility provider is offering two My50 subscriptions for the price of one, but that comes with a few caveats.

For one thing, you can’t get both passes for yourself. Instead, you can only get one pass while the other pass has to go to someone else. Also, both of you must be new users, which means neither of you have ever purchased the My50 pass until now.

If you meet these criteria, you and your friend can register for the promotion via the MyRapid PULSE app, available for Android and iOS. You must register both your details on the app and, as with the standard for the My50 pass, you and your “buddy” must be Malaysian citizens.

This promo is already open for registration as we speak and will last until September 7th. If your application is successful, you will then receive a confirmation email on September 8.

To avail the offer, you and your friend need to come to the counter at KL Sentral LRT Station or Pasar Seni Bus Station with the printing of the confirmation voucher. Of course, don’t forget to also bring the MyKad.

In case you don’t know, Rapid KL’s My50 pass allows commuters to use any of its services in Klang Valley with a validity of 30 days. This includes all LRT, MRT and Monorail routers as well as BRT and Rapid KL buses.

On a related note, Rapid KL has also announced that those with the Ministry of Social Affairs (JKM) OKU card can ride any of its public transport services. free from August 31 to September 30. Not to mention, commuters can still sign up for the company’s free hospital protection plan, which provides financial protection for three months in the event of hospitalization.
