EXCITEMENT IS BUILDING and there is keen interest in the upcoming 2021 Australasia Bus and Coach Exhibition, which will be held Wednesday September 29 through Thursday September 30 at the Sydney Showground in Sydney Olympic Park, organizers said.

“If buses or coaches are your business, mark Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th September 2021 in your calendar and start planning your visit to the Sydney Expo today,” advised the Executive Director of BusNSW, Matt Threlkeld.

BusNSW Executive Director Matt Threlkeld confirms there has been strong interest from exhibitors and visitors alike for Expo 2021, which returns to Sydney after five years.

“Following the success of the Melbourne Expo 2019, the Sydney event this year promises to be another world-class exhibition for the Australasian bus and coach industry,” said Threlkeld.

The Expo will feature more than $ 50 million in vehicles and more than 100 exhibition booths showcasing products and services, covering 14,000 square meters and all under one roof, according to BusNSW.

About 90 percent of the vehicle display areas and 70 percent of the booths have been sold, so the opportunities for industry suppliers to display their products and services are limited, he adds.

“The Expo will have free entry to maximize the participation of key decision makers representing bus and coach operators large and small,” explained Threlkeld.

HIGH PRIORITY

The Covid-safe event comes at a time when public transportation and the transition to zero-emission technology is a priority for all levels of government, says BusNSW.

“The NSW Minister of Transport and Roads has challenged Transport for NSW to upgrade the state’s contracted fleet of 8,000 buses to zero-emission technology by 2030, and we are happy May Transport for NSW proudly support the 2021 Australasia Bus & Coach Expo, ”Threlkeld says.

“This year’s Expo will feature a significant number of electric buses,” he added.
