Translink is recruiting 30 apprentices – here’s how to apply


Translink is recruiting 30 apprentices who will help shape the transformation of transport in Northern Ireland for a greener economic recovery after Covid-19.

These roles cover a wide range of specialist areas, including bus, rail and track engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, plumbing and carpentry teams.

The company said successful applicants will play a critical role in implementing Translink’s growth plans and will support a £ 3bn transport decarbonisation plan over the next decade towards zero net emission by 2040 and become climate positive by 2050.

Translink currently has a strong learning team of 80 people and new hires will benefit from mentoring and guidance from experienced specialists to help them reach their full potential.

In addition to providing on-the-job skills development, the program will provide apprentices with the experience and skills necessary to develop a dynamic and fulfilling career. Many apprentices continue their careers at Translink and some senior executives have joined the company using this same pattern.

The apprenticeships will begin in September 2021 and will last 4 years. They will combine onsite work at Translink for 4 days a week with a day spent in college or university to achieve a recognized qualification.
